Lorraine was recently appointed as CEO of The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This is her first executive role in the charity sector following an extensive career in television where she was one of the UK’s best known media executives with a wide ranging experience as a journalist, broadcaster and producer.
She is the Independent Advisor to Channel 4’s Growth Fund, a director of data analytics company, Pivigo and a member of Angel Academe, a group that backs female-led tech companies. The first female Controller of BBC One, Lorraine comprehensively rebranded the channel turning it into the most popular network in the UK. She launched a raft of hit shows including Strictly Come Dancing, Doctor Who and Spooks. She then became Chief Executive of TalkbackThames which produced over 600 hours of TV a year, including Britain’s Got Talent, The X Factor and The Apprentice. Lorraine went on to launch a new indie group, Boom Pictures, and grew it to become the eighth largest production group in the UK in under two years. The company subsequently sold to ITV renamed as Twofour Group. ÷Lorraine now has her own creative consultancy business.

Leisel Evans is Creative Director of UK Factual at Raw TV: an award-winning company with a reputation for producing high quality factual programming. She is currently overseeing a raft of projects for all the key broadcasters. Previously she was a Director of Programmes at Century.
Over the last 20 years, as a producer director, series producer and executive producer, Liesel has a proven track record in making high-profile and high-rating documentaries, winning awards both in the UK and internationally. Amongst many other projects at Century, Liesel executive produced the RTS and Grierson nominated The Life and Loss of Karen Woo, the critically acclaimed The Railways: Keeping Britain on Track and Brian Hill’s Welcome to the World.

Sanjay is Chief Executive of Voltage TV Productions which he co-founded with Steve Nam in 2013. Since then he’s been commissioned to make more than 50 hours of peak time programmes including Inside the Factory (BBC Two), Life Inside Jail (ITV), NHS: £2 Billion a Week and Counting (Channel 4) and X-Ray Mega Airport (Discovery International Networks).
Prior to launching Voltage he ran Dragonfly Film and TV where he exec produced BAFTA nominated The Plane Crash as well as overseeing some of the company's biggest series including One Born Every Minute, The Family, Kill It, Cook It, Eat It and The Hotel.
Sanjay spent most of his career at the BBC in News and Current Affairs, becoming a Senior Producer for Newsnight and then spending two years covering America as the BBC's Washington Producer. He was a Series and Executive Producer on a range of peak-time documentary and factual entertainment series for all the BBC channels including the RTS award-winning series two of The Apprentice.
Ben Anthony is a Grierson and BAFTA winning documentary and drama director with a sensitive, intelligent approach to powerful human stories. 7/7: One Day in London, a 90 minute testimony based film about the 2005 London bombings won BAFTA, Grierson, Broadcast and RTS awards for Best Single Documentary. The Sunday Times called it ‘a masterpiece of overwhelming power’.
Life and Death Row: Execution following victims, inmates and their families in the run up to execution in Texas won a BAFTA and RTS award. The press described the film as ‘extraordinary’, ‘compelling’ and ‘deeply affecting’.
Ben's debut drama, Don’t Take My Baby, won a BAFTA for Best Single Drama of 2016. The film tells the true story of a disabled couple's fight to keep their baby from being taken into care. The Observer called it, ‘a work of sheer heart-rending brilliance’.
Liz heads Grant Thornton's UK tax service to media clients, dealing with advisory and compliance work for entrepreneurial and listed companies. Liz has been closely involved with the development of the new tax credits for High-End TV and Animation and the tax status of people working in the TV industry, working with the main UK trade bodies in consultation with HMRC. Her experience also includes finance and tax support for not for profit organisations and educational charities.
Simon Chinn is a double BAFTA and Oscar-winning producer who is responsible for some of the most successful feature documentaries of recent years.
In 2005, after a successful career in television as a freelance producer and executive producer, he conceived and produced his first theatrical feature documentary, Man on Wire. It went on to win over 40 international awards including the BAFTA for Outstanding British Film and the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. He followed that up with a string of award winning feature documentaries including Project Nim, The Imposter, The Green Prince, Garnet’s Gold, Bolshoi Babylon and Searching for Sugar Man which also won a BAFTA and an Academy Award. In 2015 he teamed up with his old school friend Louis Theroux to produce My Scientology Movie, Louis’ first theatrical doc. It grossed £1.1 million at the box office, making it one of the highest grossing feature docs of all time in the UK.
Simon launched Lightbox in 2014 with his LA based cousin, Emmy-winning producer Jonathan Chinn. Focused on producing high-end, non-fiction series, feature docs and shorts for multiple platforms, Lightbox has completed major projects for Xbox Studios, Netflix, Fusion, Esquire Network, Channel 4, BBC2, FX, and ESPN. Its feature doc on the 1992 LA riots, LA 92 for National Geographic, won a primetime Emmy and has been shortlisted for an Academy Award. In 2018 it launched a major new feature doc on Whitney Houston. Directed by Kevin Macdonald, it is the only ever film about her that has been authorised by her family.
Jo Clinton-Davis is Controller of Factual at ITV. Her commissions include Long Lost Family, Our Queen at 90, Paul O’Grady for the Love of Dogs, The Mafia with Trevor McDonald, HMP Aylesbury, Billy Connolly's Route 66, Joanna Lumley's Japan, Killer Women with Piers Morgan. Previously Jo was Head of Commissioning for UKTV's ten channels having been Head of Independent Commissioning at the BBC where she commissioned Masterchef, Grumpy Old Men and The Hairy Bikers. She directed and series produced Making Babies with Robert Winston and The Store about Selfridges for BBC One as well as directing many single films for the award-winning strands 40 Minutes and Inside Story.
Guy has been Commissioning Editor, (VP) Factual at Channel 5 since September 2013.
He is responsible for commissioning a diverse slate of peak-time programming across the channel in all factual genres. Recent commissions include the RTS Best Single Documentary winner and Grierson nominee Raped: My Story; Edinburgh TV Awards Documentary of the Year winner The Abused; Association of International Broadcasters award winner Rivers of Blood: 50 Years On and feature-length documentaries in the Modern Britain strand including the recent Suicidal: In Their Own Words.
At Channel 5, Guy has also commissioned world exclusive series Michael Palin In North Korea; current affairs programmes Portillo’s Trouble with The Tories and Paxman: Why are our MPs so Crap; the widely acclaimed Critical Condition; BAFTA, RTS and Grierson Award nominees Rich House Poor House and The Accused and long running documentary series such as Paddington 24/7 and Secrets of The National Trust.
Previously Guy was Head of Documentaries for ITN Productions as well as working as a freelance Executive Producer for a range of companies including: Blast! Films; Darlow Smithson; Firecracker and Wall to Wall. Among the industry accolades Guy has received as a producer are: BAFTA Factual Series Award and Grierson Award for The Trust (C4); the Michael Powell Award for Best British Film for Gas Attack and 3 Emmy nominations for the HBO/Channel 4 feature-length documentary, The Battle for Marjah.
David DeHaney is Creative Director of Proper Content, a new production company launched with the support of BBC Worldwide that aims to produce entertaining programmes with social purpose. David is an award winning Director and Executive Producer who has held senior positions in the UK’s leading production houses, including Love Productions, Nutopia, Victory, Firecracker and the BBC. Some factual highlights include Me and My Mum, Can’t Stop Eating, I Want My Dad Back, The Baby Borrowers, Boys and Girls Alone, Young Autistic and Stagestruck, Tough Young Teachers, Britain’s Gay Footballers, The Women Who Woke Up Chinese and The Problem With My Father.
Amy Flanagan is Co-Creative Director, Factual at new indie Expectation. Prior to this she was the Deputy Head of Factual at Channel 4, where she has commissioned a diverse range of television including The Murder Detectives, 24 Hours in Police Custody, The Romanians Are Coming, and My Son the Jihadi. Before working in commissioning, she worked on a variety of award-winning factual programmes such as Bedlam, the first series of 24 Hours in A&E and Feltham Sings. She currently runs the Cutting Edge Directors’ Scheme at Channel 4.
Danny Horan joined Channel 4 in July 2018 as Head of Factual, responsible for Documentaries and Specialist Factual. Previously he was with the BBC Documentaries commissioning team between September 2015 and May 2018 and commissioned award-winning Hospital, Louis Theroux’s Dark States, Ambulance, The Mighty Redcar, Generation Gifted and Murdered For Being Different, amongst many other series and single films across BBC One, Two and Three. Prior to joining the BBC Danny was an executive producer at Voltage TV and The Garden.
Marjorie Kaplan was most recently President of Global Content Strategy at Discovery Communications where she spent two decades overseeing television channels for every audience from children and families to women and men and working with talented content creators all over the world.
Tom McDonald is the BBC's Head of Natural History & Specialist Factual Commissioning. His department’s recent commissions include Planet Earth II, Muslims Like Us, The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs and Spy in The Wild.
James Quinn is a former commissioning editor at Sky, commissioning documentary series and factual programmes for Sky 1 and Sky Arts, and feature documentaries for Sky Atlantic and theatrical release. Before commissioning, he occupied senior positions at several leading indies, including Head of Special Projects at Oxford Film & Television and Head of Factual at October Films. He is also Visiting Professor of Media Arts at Royal Holloway, University of London. His books include Adventures in the Lives of Others, a collection of essays by some of the biggest names in factual filmmaking, and This Much is True, a landmark volume on the art of directing documentaries.
Rob Stapledon has spent over 20 years looking after owner managed, independent media businesses. In February 2015 he moved to Arbuthnot Latham (an independent private bank that was set up over 185 years ago) to set up the Media Commercial Banking team. Across the management team there is over 55 years of experience in the media sector.
Kate Townsend is Netflix's Director, Original Documentaries. She commissions original documentaries out of the UK for the global streaming platform Netflix, which has over 150 million members. In the last two years Kate has worked across titles such as the Emmy nominated Fyre, newly released The Great Hack and sports psychology series Losers. Prior to Netflix, Kate was Commissioning Editor of the BBC's Storyville, where her credits include A Syrian Love Story, Pussy Riot, Notes on Blindness and India’s Daughter. She's twice been nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy, and won the RTS award for Best Current Affairs Documentary for BBC Two’s Power To The People.
Andy Whittaker is the founder of Dogwoof - the international sales company, and leading theatrical film distributor of theatrical documentaries. Films include Blackfish, The Act of Killing and Dreams of a Life. They recently started a production slate including Werner Herzog's Into The Inferno, and Vivienne Westwood: Get a Life.
